Other Step by Step Teachers

IMG_6226Ms. Louise  – Small Group Teacher
“The Bible tells us to ‘Train up a child in the way he should go, and when they are old, they will not depart from it’ – Proverbs 22:6. Training them up in the way they should go is not simply what we may want for them, but to remember that ‘the way they should go’ is unique – the design or plan that God has for each, individual child. I pray daily that God gives me insight and wisdom to be able to nurture and teach each child in such a way that their individual needs are met. I am blessed to be able to make a living doing what I love most!”

Ms. Louise has been teaching at Step by Step for over 6 years. She has spent most of her life caring for and teaching children of all ages. She has served many years in children’s ministry and Sunday school in local churches. She has her CDA and has taken management training for childcare and has extensive training in literacy and mathematics. She started her professional career with a family childcare in her home serving young mothers with infants through preschool age. She then worked at the WEE Children’s Center as the Day Camp Director & VPK Lead Teacher from 1996 to 2012. She was honored as the Afterschool Teacher of the Year in 2011. She then came to Step by Step and started working with the 4 year old class, and she loves her job and the satisfaction it brings to watch young children learn and grow! Ms. Louise LOVES to read, listen to music, and go to the beach. Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11-13 –  For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”
